Here are some of our sturdiest leathers, the ones we suggest when the request is made, "I want my Bible to last forever." While we can't guarantee that kind of longevity, we can tell you that some leathers will last longer than others, and we would like to steer you to the right ones if that's your goal.
All these options come complete with "Holy Bible" on the spine or face (if the material is imprintable), one ribbon marker and new leatherette end pages.
These prices are assuming your Bible has an intact sewn spine. If the pages are falling out or the spine is glued, we would need to repair that with cord insertion ($20.00).
When you know what you'd like, just proceed to our ordering page. If you can't decide, give us a call or write.

This Bible cover is made of good, strong calfskin with a hand-rubbed antiqued finish in saddle tan, brown, mahogany, or burgundy. Flexibility: Firm. Great for a large study Bible, where the weight will keep it from being too stiff.

Drum-stuffed, hand-dyed, antiqued leather made from government-culled imported Australian kangaroos. This is a firmer leather, but is easy to tool and stamp. Kangaroo leather is "dentable" but has one of the highest tensile strengths on the market. It has a wonderful smooth grain and leather smell. Note: Kangaroo needs to be special-ordered and paid in advance. |
This unusal leather is one of our sturdier in calfskin. |
Here's a close-up of the navy wave grain. |
Sturdy standard grained leather with a matte finish and medium flexibility. This leather is both sturdy and economical. Our mission grain pigskin doesn't have to be stiff, though. Ask for our Feather-Lite interior liner. (No charge.)

The two main colors we stock in mission grain pigskin -- dark brown and black. The mission grain is an impressed, linear grain. |
Natural grain pigskin is distinctive in that you can clearly see the pores. |
Saddle Tan, Teal, and Plum Pigskin Strong and sturdy natural grain pigskins are great for a study Bible, but come in pretty colors, too.
|
Harmatan natural wild grain goatskin is semi-glossy leather with a rich grain. Classy. We use traditional weight, full-grain leather for maximum durability, and that's great for a study Bible. Pictured is the Scarlet. |
