Oh. My. Goodness.
I have waited so long for a leather-bound & -lined Bible that I was truly concerned nothing could measure up to my imagination. God is Good, and He has truly blessed the efforts of the folks at Leonard's and, through them, me. The suppleness of the river grain goatskin cover is deceptive; it is so clean & smooth-feeling, it almost seems synthetic. Its strength & flexibility are immediately apparent with handling; I can't wait to see how it ages with use. The soft, soft, soft lambskin lining almost glides. I chose a silk moire end page, and I am thrilled with the strength. Just as impressive as the materials is the workmanship. This is one built-to-last Bible. When I ordered it, Margie reminded me that the leather-lined style is Leonard's "most flexible;" she wanted me to make sure I wouldn't think it "too floppy." It *is* flexible, but I am not concerned that the new binding & cover won't hold up because of the quality of the construction. True artistry. I am so thrilled and have already sent a second Bible (one belonging to a favorite pastor) for repair and similar re-binding treatment. Thank you, Leonard's! Cannot recommend you highly enough!
