1. The 17th Century Country Parson Style (Softcover Version):
Click here for the historical background on this style.
This unique Bible features dark brown hand-dyed spindled rustic goatskin, wrap-around, thick raised ribs on the spine, with blind-stamped double border tooling and tapered spine rib tooling. It is a softcover and is especially appealing to people who want a Bible that is very strong and durable. This is not wimpy-soft leather but is not stiff, either. The end pages are standard leatherette for strength when flexing.

2. The 17th Century Country Parson Style (Hardcover Version):
This Bible style features much of the same personality as the softcover version, but is really more authentic since a country parson wouldn’t have had a softcover. This has the same hand-dyed spindled rustic goatskin, the raised ribs, and border and spine tooling. However, with this version, we also add hand milled paper end pages and hand-sewn head and tail bands. We can “beat up the boards” a bit, too (okay, “condition” them), to make this Bible even more rustic-looking.

3. The 19th Century Circuit Rider Bible:

This gem is good for your saddle bag, satchel, or backpack, with an old-fashioned wrap-around tab closure. It’s made of thick glossy chocolate goatskin lined with acid-free hand milled paper. This is a stiffer flex-cover, like it would have been in the olden days. It still features the raised ribs on the spine, with a Wedding Text font. This style does not feature ribbon markers.

4. The 20th Century Sunday School Teachers Bible:

The leather on this Bible style is an ultra-flexible black soft-tanned unembossed natural goatskin also known as natural morocco, with semi-yapp edges (extended to about 1/2″ beyond the pages). It features simple line border tooling, raised ribs on the spine, and the typical “Sunday School Teacher’s Edition.” It is topped off with bright red and black ribbons and black moire silk end pages. All in all, this is a handsome Bible for a Sunday School teacher, a member of the clergy, or a simple layperson who just loves the Word of God.
