I wanted to let you know that I received my Bible last week and I love it! I’m so glad that I upgraded the cover and I’m really happy with it. It is the perfect flexibility, texture, and general feel. For me, having a nice leather cover also makes it feel more Holy. I can really tell the difference between this leather and the bonded leather bibles in the bookstore. I also like how the cords on the binding give it a unique look that you don’t see in the bookstores either.

It has also inspired me to read the Bible more often because I haven’t read it all yet (especially the Old Testament!). I do have an excuse though, being a relatively new believer. “    Sorry for such a late e-mail but sometimes the seeds of thought take a long time to ripen and sprout. Some months ago you rebound a dictionary given me by my long lost aunt and uncle. When I first received the dictionary my first response was, of course …” Good job!”. But I didn’t want to write, as is my custom, until I had something unique to say. And yesterday in the “gloaming of the day”, the book “spoke to me”. I saw it on my writing desk, standing alonside some other treasured volumes when I realized how beautiful it looked in the fading light – you really brought out the “genius” – ie, individuality, of the volume. I gave it to you tattered and broken, you returned it to me with dignity and more. I the picked up the volume and going over it realized how much thought and respect went into preserving as much of the original work as you could and, as if the original bookbinders were alongside guiding you, brought it back to the womb and gave it new life.

“Well, the Bible arrived yesterday.

Before opening it, I had a bit of trepidation that I might be disappointed in a variety of ways:

I was concerned about the color, and it exceeded my expectations.

I was concerned about the cords in spine, and they look fantastic, and I actually PREFER them, again exceeding my expectations.

I was concerned about the imprinting, and it too exceeded my expectations.

I was concerned about the binding quality, and it exceeded my expectations.

I was concerned about the edging appearance, and the bordering and styling exceeded my expectations- a LOT!

I was MOST concerned about the “stiffness” of the kangaroo leather that you warned me about for such a thin Bible, and feared I might need both hands to pry it open! The leather is so supple I can hardly believe it! In fact, I would not WANT it any softer! It lays open by itself effortlessly. This so far exceeded what I was expecting that I’m speechless.

Wow! I’m still having a hard time believing how awesome it is!

I’ll admit, after the first few moments of taking it all in, I cried like a baby! I can’t tell you how much my Bible means to me… not the material itself, but the life-transforming effect of what’s inside, and now the cover is a closer match of externally reflecting the priceless contents within.

Thank you SO much! I was a bit concerned about the cost of a kangaroo leather binding, but now am SO GLAD I made this choice and used your services.

My New Testament arrived today. I love the way this leather feels in my hands; it is so soft and supple! You did a wonderful job repairing the pages and re-working the spine. I had my concerns about spending this much money having it repaired, but your workmanship is worth the cost. I anticipate I will be using this for years and years. I have always liked this size and format and was very disappointed to learn that it was no longer being published–all they have any more are the long, thin NT and Psalm format.
