I love the Bible and I love reading the Bible. It's the Words that are important but reading those words in a nicely bound leather Bible is pure, luxurious enjoyment. I bought a study Bible last year that was bound in leather but I didn't like the feel of it. The binding just didn't measure up to my other Bibles. When I do my daily reading, I reach for my favorite Bible, and that poor study Bible was just never going to make it to the top of the list. The idea came to me that it might be interesting if I had the Bible rebound in nice leather, so I did a few Google searches and ended up at Leonard's Books. I looked through the pictures, reviewed the options, made my choices, and put my Bible in the mail. That was about a month ago and today my "new" Bible arrived. Wow. It's magnificent. I have never felt leather this soft or supple. It easily surpasses all my "premium" leather Bibles and that includes the fancy ones by Schulyer and Allan. It's amazing, and now I have a new favorite Bible. For reference, the choices I made were: British Tan River Grain goatskin Tobacco lambskin lining Cinnamon Iridescent Japanese Book Cloth end pages 3/8" yap 3 gold 3/8" ribbon markers If you want to treat yourself or give someone a wonderful gift, having Leonard's rebind a Bible is the way to go. I'm sure they rebind other books too but since the Bible is the greatest book that is, was, and ever will be, you may as well stick with the best: the Holy Bible bound in silky, beautiful leather.
