By now, you may have noticed that our website has a new look and style, making it more mobile friendly. Actually, the picture above was from 2012, when we were going through actual physical construction on the premises, to make way for expanded office area and shipping and receiving. But this time, it’s the website. We’ve heard your cries and are transforming the way we do things here, to make it easier for you to order from Leonard’s.
Website construction is also time consuming, can be expensive if you do it right, and it can cause some temporary inconvenience. But we were just looking at the picture above and trying to make out where that was. The exact location is hardly recognizable anymore, and the construction woes are only a memory. So we are consoling ourselves that it will be worth it all to finish up the good work we’ve begun and bring our website up-to-date. 🙂
We’ve made lots of improvements in navigation and user experience. The website should look better to you now, whether you are viewing it on a desktop, a laptop, or a mobile device. The navigation links at the top should be helpful to you, and we now have both a place to browse for recommended leathers for your Bible and a place to view all the leathers and colors together. These areas will be getting better and better as we make some changes to the individual pages.
But you may still find some “dust” — leftover remnants of obsolete content, broken pictures, and stuff that doesn’t line up right. Be assured, we are working to correct that.
In the meantime, you should know that our turnaround is greatly improved since last winter and this is the time to send in your books and Bibles for rebinding for Christmas, especially if you want to send multiple Bibles for your friends and family members.
