Leonard's gave me everything I asked for and more. They did it all with excellence. Their customer service also was very outstanding. What I wanted and got was a "preacher's bible," if I may call it that, with a lot of flop. I don't like a hardback or a stiff cover. I sent Leonard's a brand-new ESV single column journaling bible, asking them to (1) replace the stiff, low-quality bonded leather cover with very flexible River Grain goatskin with lambskin lining; (2) insert 3 ribbon markers; (4) remove all pages regarding "Through the Bible in a Year Reading Plan; and (5) insert 4 blank pages in the front and back. The result is a beautiful ESV bible bound in River Grain goatskin that is very pliable. With 8 blank inserts and the 2-inch margin in the journaling bible, I'm ready to transfer hundreds of notes from my old "teaching" bible. (Hint: If you like to write notes in your bible that won't smear, consider using a Pigma Micron .005 archival ink pen. For neat notes that look like an architect's, use a Timely Lettering Slots guide No. T-700, 3/32-inch slot.) With 10 being the highest mark on a ten's scale, I rate Leonard's a 10+.
